Correspondence, newspaper clippings, minutes, financial records and other materials related to Reverend Thomas O'Gorman and his ministry work in the Lawndale and Garfield Park neighborhoods in west Chicago. Much of the materials pertain to Catholic social action committees and urban ministry, such as the Archdiocesan Committee on Poverty and the Campaign for Human Development. Box 1 contains information on the Lawndale-Garfield parish cluster, such as correspondence, financial statements, and meeting minutes. Box 2 contains newspaper clippings, Association of Chicago Priests newsletters, and topical files on farm workers, the Englewood community, Catholic charities, and various ministry activities.
